Description
- It is used in the gardening and Hydroponics in its exfoliated form and it has the benefits of improving soil aeration while retaining moisture and nutrients to feed roots, cuttings and seeds for faster, maximum growth.
- SemiSpare Perlite is a coarse grade Perlite which is well suited for gardening because it is not a powered grade vermiculite, it is a coarse grade Perlite so that potting media is well aerated and at the same time provide enough drainage to ensure there is no root rot.
- Horticulture Perlite is produced by heating raw Perlite at 850 to 1200 degree Celsius. When heated it expands converts into light weight agriculture grade Perlite.
Application Rate:
Usage rates by volume vary from 5% to 40% for potting mixes, and as high as 75% to 100% in green roofs and hydroponics applications.
For Basic Potting Mix:
4 Parts Soil or Coco peat,
1 to 2 Part Compost,
2 part Vermiculite,
2 parts perlite
